Most types of plastic are not recyclable, yet they make excellent containers for growing Cereal Grass in. Pierce holes in the bottom of a yogurt pot and fill one third with compost. Place this pot inside another one without holes to allow drainage. Mix in 25g of Cereal Grass (Organic). Dampen thoroughly and keep moist until the seeds germinate. Watering should cease then or mould can occur, if more moisture is needed it should be given in the drainage tray and taken in through the roots. Do not let the seeds 'stand' in water.
The resulting grass will be approximately 12g which is equal to approximately 2.4g of Protein. Planet Guinea recommend that this nutritious grass is only fed as a treat or source of Protein and limited to one pot per guinea (or 25g seeds).
Use Muller pots to measure out the size of larger containers and the amount of guinea pigs it is approximately suitable for. For example, 3 Muller pots fit inside a sausage roll tray making this container suitable for feeding 3 guineas. The grass can be completely removed from the tray (which is not suitable for animal 'use') and placed in their pen/cage.

!All containers must be thoroughly washed and rinsed before use!

"One estimate is that the manufacture of packaging for British food produces 10 million tonnes of CO2 in Britain each year, or 170kg for each one of us." (Independent on Sunday)

All nutritional facts are approximations based on Cereal Grass having a 20% Protein content. This will vary a little from batch to batch of seeds though.
